Sonnet II

Ambition fails me here and now once more.
This twisted passion falsely guides me through.
The labyrinth of the heart is black with war,
With strange desires, evil tendencies.

My heart grows sick with jealousy.
All joyous, you who love the gracious calm.
Within the bliss, disaster’s revelry.
Unrest dawns here, though happiness prevails.

Insane I am, it’s true and very so,
For envy here I hold for reason not.
Disastrous ways shall cause much strife and woe,
The first of which pervades my very life.

The spite still grows within my hated soul;
To live the day unharmed, that is my goal.

  2. Haha! This is my slight mockery of Shakespeare...

And not many people get my deeper sonnets. Sad but true. Tear!

  3. Sorry but i have to ask for help in interpreting this. Your thoughts are either all over the place or connected to some topic which I dont understand. I especially dont get Within the bliss disater's revelry, it doesnt seem to make grammatical sense. Please let me know what this is talking about, I'm confused!

  4. Hi Hillary :)

I'm glad you noticed the fact that the thoughts run rampant in this sonnet. It basically outlines my growing insanity as I follow my own desires, goals, and ambitions. I follow my own goals, but criticise others for their lack of interest in life (My heart grows sick with jealousy. | All joyous, you who love the gracious calm.)

Hope that helps...so sorry about the grammar in that line. I missed a comma, so it should be "Within the bliss comma disaster’s revelry."

Sorry about the confusion...my first few sonnets are very turblent and very experimental; hope they don't make anyone commit suicide...

A word is dead
When it is said,
Some say.

I say it just
Begins to live
That day.
